When water hits a home in Coeur d’Alene, a burst pipe in a freeze, melt runoff into a basement, or a failed appliance, the first hours matter. Standing water spreads. Materials stay wet. Mold risk rises if drying is incomplete.

ACOR Restoration Services LLC is a licensed contractor based at 955 N Innovation Way, Post Falls, ID 83854. We provide water damage restoration in Coeur d’Alene and nearby Kootenai County communities, extraction, structural drying, and clear documentation for your insurance carrier. We are not public adjusters. We do not negotiate coverage or guarantee what your policy will pay.

Water damage in Coeur d’Alene and North Idaho winters

North Idaho winters put real stress on homes. Freeze-thaw cycles crack pipes. Ice dams and roof melt send water where it does not belong. Spring melt can overwhelm poorly drained foundations. Year-round, washing machines, water heaters, and supply lines fail without warning.

If you are in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Dalton Gardens, Rathdrum, or Liberty Lake, you already know how fast a small leak becomes a floor, wall, or crawlspace problem. Our job is to stop the water where we can, remove what is there, and dry the structure with measured moisture readings, then document what we found and what we did in a way carriers can review.

We also work Spokane, Washington, under the same company standards, see our Spokane page. This page is focused on Coeur d’Alene and the Kootenai County side of our market.

What we do: extraction, drying, and moisture mapping

Water restoration is a process, not a promise that every surface will look brand new overnight. In order:

  1. 1

    Safety and source control

Confirming it is safe to enter, and stopping ongoing water when that is within our scope, helping coordinate shutoff, or addressing accessible leaks as directed.

  2. 2

    Extraction

Removing standing water from floors, carpets, and accessible cavities.

  3. 3

    Moisture mapping

Meters and inspection to find wet materials that look dry on the surface. This is the step that gets skipped, and it is why some jobs come back.

  4. 4

    Drying and monitoring

Air movers and dehumidifiers placed against that moisture map, with readings monitored until materials reach drying goals for that assembly.

  5. 5

    Documentation

Photos, moisture logs, and scope notes, so your carrier’s staff adjuster can see what happened and what was performed.

Drying time depends on the materials, how long water sat, temperature, and humidity. A small appliance leak on hard flooring can dry faster than saturated drywall, insulation, or a wet crawlspace. We will explain what we are seeing in your home. We do not promise a set number of drying days.

If mold growth is already present or develops after a delay in drying, that may need a separate remediation scope, see our Mold Remediation FAQ.

How we document for carriers, and what we are not

Many restoration companies say they work with insurance. Often that means they send invoices and wait.

Our approach is different. ACOR has licensed independent adjusters on staff alongside our contracting team. That means we understand how carriers evaluate claims, what documentation they typically need, and how to present information clearly. We communicate with the assigned staff adjuster when updates or supporting materials are needed, and we prepare documentation in a format that aligns with common carrier standards.

Important disclaimer

ACOR Restoration Services LLC is a licensed contractor. We are not public adjusters. We do not represent you against your insurer. We do not negotiate coverage, claim approval, or settlement amounts. We do not guarantee that any portion of your loss will be covered or paid. Coverage decisions belong to your insurance carrier and your policy.

Our role is to perform the restoration work and to facilitate clear, professional coordination, photos, moisture data, and scope notes, so the claim file can move forward with fewer misunderstandings. If you need a public adjuster, that is a separate professional you would hire on your own; it is not us.
